BooFest 2024
The Sacramento United BooFest tournament is the original and still the best Halloween-themed tournament in Northern California for the U8-U11 age group. There will be Premier, Gold, Silver, and Bronze brackets for all age groups. Each year attracts around 220 teams. This festive Halloween-themed event includes great competition as well as other events on Saturday evening.

Check-In:
a) All teams to arrive 45 minutes to an hour prior to their scheduled game time and proceed to the field Marshall table for check-in.
b) Please note that players are not required for the check-in process. Only team managers or coaches should present themselves with Player passes for all players and coaches. Digital Passes accepted.
c) Please use this form to loan a US Club Soccer-registered player to another US Club Soccer club/organization for a specific competition. Completed forms must be emailed to tournaments@sacunited.com 7 days prior to the scheduled event. Please note that mailed forms will not be accepted. All forms must be approved by the Tournament Director.

Halloween Hallow Alley
“Get Ready for a Spooky Stroll at Granite Regional Park’s Halloween Theme-Based Display!”
Participants will be evaluated based on their creativity, adherence to the Halloween theme, incorporation of their team’s name, and the overall presentation of their displays. Teams are welcome to set up their spooky creations along the walkway of Granite Regional Park on Friday evening or Saturday morning. The judging of these eerie displays will take place at approximately 3:00 PM on Saturday afternoon. Winners will be announced during the Costume Parade. Prize for 1st place winner!

Costume Parade
The parade will begin around 5:45 pm, approximately 45 minutes after the completion of the last game on Saturday. The Parade route will begin at the end of Halloween Hallow Alley by the Turf Parking lot.
The Parade will move down the walkway to the turf field where the team costumes will be judged. Parents and spectators are encouraged to line the route and encourage your teams!
Costume Contest
Teams are encouraged to play their games in a costume uniform. Players may play in costume as long as the costumes are the same and numbers are visible on the back. Awards for costumes will be given at the end of the Costume Parade Saturday night .Each category will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, with all receiving commemorative trophies. Additionally, 1st place winners will receive special gifts.

– Judges can assess how unique and inventive the costume concepts are.
2. **Best Team Costume:**
– Evaluate group costumes that showcase coordination, teamwork, and a shared theme.
– Judges can rate how well the team members complement each other’s costumes and bring the theme to life collectively.
3. **Best Introduction Routine:**
– Evaluate how well participants introduce and showcase their costumes, including creative performances or narratives.
– Judges can assess the entertainment value, relevance to the costume, and audience engagement of the introduction routine.
4. **Best Coach’s Costume:**
– Evaluate the coach’s costume for creativity, relevance to the team’s theme, and how it complements the participants’ costumes.
– Judges can consider the coach’s effort in embracing the spirit of the event and contributing to the overall theme.
5. **Laziest Coach’s Costume:**
– Judges can have a fun evaluation of how coaches interpret the “laziest” costume, adding humor and lightheartedness to the event.
